A short time later Joletta came to the doorway of Sandi and Jim’s master bedroom. “Mom, is everything all right? Can Grandma Susan come in too?”

Sandi was sitting in one of a matched set of soft upholstered chairs that had been turned toward a large arched window, giving them a view of the meadow, which was still covered with the soft fresh green of spring. From this vantage point, she could see the freshly planted flowers along the side of the new stable and she could hear the laughter and voices of her family and friends.

“Of course, Susan can come in too. You are always welcome. Come here sweet girl!”

Sandi held her arms out and Joletta ran into them.
